HALLOWEEN

TRICK OR TREAT

DOS AND DON’T’S

Halloween is 31st October – only Trick or Treat that night

No Fireworks, it is Halloween

Home Owners

  • If you want ‘trick or treaters’ leave the porch light on and possibly put up some simple decorations. If you DON’T, keep the lights off

  • Stock up on sweets before 31st October, no sweets containing nuts

  • Do NOT let anyone into your house

  • Don’t open the door if you feel intimidated and use your spy hole if you have one

  • Do NOT open your door after 9pm, children should be in bed

  • No children over 12 years should be trick or treating

  • No costume, no sweets

Trick or Treaters

  • Over 12 years old, you should not be trick or treating unless accompanying younger children

  • All children should be accompanied by a responsible adult and to around in small groups, not alone

  • Do NOT go into anyone’s house

  • Only go to houses that look like there are expecting trick or treaters, eg have a porch light on, have put up some decorations

  • Be extra careful crossing roads, it is even more dangerous wearing a mask or a long cap while carrying sweets

  • Don’t trick or treat after 9pm, children should be at home

  • Only take 1 sweet

Finally remember to say THANK YOU
