Coats that turn into tents; sportswear that changes colour and texture in response to body temperature; interactive clothes that reveal the wearer’s mood – these are all examples of an increasing interest in making fashion work harder.

Curatorial and design studio White Line Projects brings Mode in Flux to Roca London Gallery this summer to showcase some of the leading ideas around adaptability being championed by emerging and established designers today. Fusing fashion with engineering, science, technology and art these experimental and conceptual works question issues of desirability, functionality and sustainability in clothing.
