Veterans Voices

  • Fulham Library Fulham Road, Fulham London SW6 5NX United Kingdom (map)

On the 22nd of January, Martin Bisiker, the Trustee and Founder of the Legasee Educational Trust will give a talk about an oral history project called Veterans Voices. The project, funded by the Armed Forces military covenant has been running for the past 6 months.

During this time, military personnel living under the care of Stoll, a Fulham based housing association,  have been interviewed about their military service.  During the presentation, Martin will talk in brief about the work of his charity Legasee, the partnership with Stoll and detail the project.

There will then follow a series of video clips from many of the Veterans interviewed. In addition Tom Howat from Stoll and a number of veterans will also be present to answer questions.

The presentation will take place at 18.45 upstairs in the Fulham Library - 598 Fulham Road, London SW6 5NX.

Expect surprise, humour and honesty from all those that were filmed.  Due to the sensitive nature of some of the material - over 16's only i'm afraid.

For more information please contact Martin at Legasee on telephone: 020 7033 9773.
