‘WW1- Playing the Game’ walk

  • Fulham Library 598 Fulham Rd London, SW6 5NX United Kingdom (map)

‘WW1- Playing the Game’ is a City of Westminster Archives project supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund looking at various aspects of how the First World War impacted on London. As part of the project a series of free walks will be taking place from various venues telling local stories from the period.

Discover local war memorials, learn about Zeppelin raids and hear the stories of brave men and women as we mark the centenary of the Great War. Hear about Chelsea FC and the Footballers' Battalion recruitment and sacrifice in the first war.

This talk will be led by Alan MacDougall, registered City of Westminster Guide.

The walk will take approximately 2 hours. Places are free but limited so please contact Fulham Library to book.
