The Alexander Technique is a fascinating and practical method by which you can learn more about how you move and think. The Technique helps to bring more awareness into all your activities and free yourself from unwanted habits. It teaches you how to prevent harmful habit patterns of tension and effort, in order not to obstruct and harm yourself in anything you do. This leads to more ease, better coordination and freedom of movement and allows for unrestricted functioning of breathing, circulation and the inner organs.
This class will be a practical and theoretical introduction to the Alexander Technique. You will be introduced to some of the basic principles of the Technique, and how they can help you in everyday life. We will also cover a couple of practical procedures which you can do yourself even if you don’t have lessons.
